“4th Edit: I'm almost 3 years post op. Still doing fantastic. I stand by everything I've posted and still highly recommend Dr. Lawson. 3rd Edit: It's been 9 months since my surgery and I am still overjoyed at the results. Dr. Lawson did a phenomenal job. 2nd Edit: Dr. Lawson did a phenomenal job on my reduction and panniculectomy. I would highly recommend her. She answered all my questions, every time, and my incision lines are beautiful. I am super pleased with her work. Edit: Surgery was scheduled and they told me at the pre-op appt a week before surgery that the add-ons I had discussed in the consultation won't be done because I'm going through insurance...which they knew at the time since they were submitting the claim. We move in a few months and I don't have time to start from scratch. Apparently, I can get the extras if I book an entirely different surgery, done in their office instead of the hospital, and heal up for several weeks...twice. Feels like shady upselling. Super disappointed. This should have been mentioned before I was out of time. Fingers crossed that the results turn out well without extras. I'll re-edit once the surgery comes and goes. Original post: I had a consultation today for a reduction and abdominoplasty. Wendell was friendly and professional from the very start and got me set up to talk with the surgeon, Dr. Lawson, who is new to STARS and not on their website yet, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I came in having done my research so I didn't waste their time with basic questions. Dr. Lawson knew her stuff, had a great personality, put me at ease, and answered all the nitty gritty questions I had. I have a high BMI and am trying to get insurance approval and I at no time felt like those factors weighed against me. The whole staff was excellent, the appointment went fabulously, zero wait time, and I trust them to do a great job helping to ease my back pain.”
